Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has won the Thailand Domestic Capital Markets Distribution Initiative of the Year award at The Wholesale Banking Awards 2026 organized by Asian Banking and Finance (ABF). The recognition reflects SCB’s success in transforming access to capital markets through financial innovation and digital technology, making digital investment solutions more widely accessible to investors across Thailand. Mr. Tanapot Parksuwan, Chief Corporate and Institutional Banking Officer at Siam Commercial Bank and Miss Anute Pathipvanich, Head of Investment Banking and Primary Markets Distribution, proudly announced this achievement.
SCB has developed a comprehensive online capital markets product distribution platform through the SCB EASY application, offering primary market subscriptions for corporate debentures, common stocks, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and infrastructure funds. The platform also enables retail investors to securely deposit scripless corporate debentures in the EASY-D Debenture Account with SCB. The platform enhances fundraising efficiency for issuers while elevating the investment experience for Thai retail investors. This achievement reflects SCB’s commitment to leveraging digital technology to drive innovation in Thailand’s capital markets, making capital market investments more accessible and convenient for retail investors. In particular, the EASY-D Debenture Account has transformed the debenture investment experiences by enabling retail investors to subscribe for primary market debentures and securely deposit scripless debentures through the SCB EASY application, eliminating the need to visit a branch while providing a seamless, convenient, and secure end-to-end digital investment journey.
The award also highlights SCB’s commitment to transform from a traditional securities distribution channel to a fully integrated digital investment platform for corporate debentures, equity products such as common stocks, REITs, and infrastructure funds. This digital transformation is designed to create a seamless omnichannel investment experience, where digital and traditional channels operate in parallel, enhancing the customer experience, connecting issuers and investors and also supporting the Bank’s “Digital Bank with Human Touch” strategy.
SCB first launched the EASY-D Debenture Account, the scripless debenture deposit account on the SCB EASY application, in 2023. Since then, the Bank has continuously enhanced the service into a comprehensive end-to-end debenture investment solution. The platform elevates customers’ investment journey by covering primary market corporate debenture subscriptions, scripless debenture deposit, consolidated debenture portfolio management, as well as secondary market corporate debenture trading, and the “MyAlert” notification service which notifies customers when debentures deposited in the EASY-D Debenture Account are due for coupon payments or maturity. These features enable customers to manage all debenture investments seamlessly within the SCB EASY application.
At the same time, the platform strengthens primary debenture distribution capabilities for corporate issuers, helping them access a wider retail investor base. Since its launch, the EASY-D Debenture Account has supported around THB 100 billion in primary market debenture subscriptions through the SCB EASY application. This milestone highlights the power of digital platforms in connecting issuers with investors and reinforces SCB’s role in enhancing Thailand’s capital market infrastructure.
