PromptFund by Krungthai Bank introduces an entirely new investment experience by enabling customers to buy and sell mutual funds instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends. Investors receive cash immediately upon redemption, while fund purchases result in the immediate allocation of investment units, eliminating the traditional waiting period of one or several days. Beyond speed and convenience, PromptFund also enhances transparency by allowing investors to view real-time trading prices before executing transactions, empowering them to make better-informed investment decisions with greater confidence. To enable these capabilities, Krungthai has leveraged blockchain technology to support real-time fund transactions, creating a more efficient investment infrastructure that allows mutual fund holdings to be converted into cash instantly. The initiative serves as a foundational building block for Thailand’s digital financial infrastructure in the future.

We have continuously refined relevant regulations to accommodate technological innovation while encouraging market participants to test new use cases through the Regulatory Sandbox to evaluate suitability, readiness, and risk. Such efforts aim to balance innovation with investor protection. The Regulatory Sandbox serves as an important platform for developing appropriate supervisory and risk management approaches as Thailand advances toward a digital capital market. In parallel, the SEC is advancing amendments to the Securities and Exchange Act. The proposed amendments, which received approval in principle from the House of Representatives in Q2 of 2026, are aimed at facilitating electronic securities issuance and digital securities services to encourage competition and promote innovation, which is a key driver of the digital economy.”
